STMC
The STMC (Standardized Test Methods Committee) is an international committee created to seek and promote approved testing methods for the printer cartridge industry. Test methods are used to evaluate the performance of toner cartridges. When using approved test methods, it is possible to evaluate a cartridge in any place and obtain the same results regardless of how the test is performed.
The STMC uses some ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) testing methods, such as ASTM F1856, for performance, and ASTM F 2036 for image density and background. The testing methods are only used to compare one finished cartridge with another, normally from an original equipment manufacturer. Do not measure the components.
