Salicru UBT series batteries are highly powerful and compact energy accumulators, based on rechargeable lead-lead dioxide systems, and are especially optimal for UPS/UPS Uninterruptible Power Systems applications and other security systems that require reliable and quality power back-up.
Salicru's UBT battery range includes 4,5 Ah, 7 Ah, 9 Ah, 12 Ah and 17 Ah models, all at 12 V.
The sulfuric acid electrolyte is absorbed by the separators and plates. And these in turn immobilized. They are designed using gas recombination technology which eliminates the need for regular addition of water by controlling the evolution of hydrogen and oxygen during charging. The battery is completely sealed and airtight and is therefore maintenance free, allowing it to be used in any position. In the event that the battery is accidentally overloaded, producing hydrogen and oxygen, special one-way valves allow the gases to escape to the outside, avoiding overpressure inside.
Loading time.
Charging at a constant voltage, equivalent to the equalization voltage, requires a time of about 8 hours to reach a volume close to 80%, bringing the battery to its optimal working situation, ready to carry out a discharge cycle in good conditions.
Number of cycles.
The useful cycles of a battery will depend on the depth of discharge reached with each use. Thus, reaching an ideal discharge depth of 30%, we will obtain an exponential increase in the number of available cycles. It is very important to take this factor into consideration when sizing the backup time you want to have and the life time as opposed to the download frequency.
Temperature vs design life.
Affecting the working ambient temperature is a key element to ensure that the useful life of the battery remains within the guaranteed time range, in optimal performance conditions.
