The display has several advantages: the large numeric display in dialing mode and the strong contrast between white letters and black background are designed to make the phone even easier to use. The ergonomic keypad with illuminated keys and intuitive operation also help make phone calls as comfortable as possible.
Switch off from time to time - with protection against unwanted calls
If you're not in the mood to talk, you can ignore certain phone numbers or anonymous calls by adding up to 32 numbers to your blacklist; when active, this function rejects calls from these numbers or simply displays them on screen without the phone ringing. You can add unwanted numbers to the blacklist manually or copy them from your call history. You can also prevent the phone from ringing for anonymous calls (i.e. those without caller ID) and even set time periods during which the phone should or shouldn't ring.
Stay in touch with a built-in phonebook and long talk time
The Gigaset A690 makes communication easy: with 14 hours of talk time, you can be sure you'll always be able to talk to your contacts whenever you need to. The device's built-in phonebook can hold up to 100 names and numbers. Also, the last 25 calls and the time they rang are automatically logged. With a standby time of 180 hours, callers will always be able to reach you.

Always environmentally friendly, and radiation-free thanks to ECO DECT
Like all Gigaset cordless phones, the Gigaset A690 series is equipped with eco-friendly ECO DECT technology. This means the phones are radiation-free in standby mode, even when using multiple handsets, as long as the base and all connected handsets also support ECO DECT. During a call, transmission power automatically adapts to the distance between the handset and the base. The shorter the distance between the handset and the base, the lower the radiation. For maximum DECT range, you can disable ECO DECT mode at any time.
