Castell® Color pencils have a thick lead for writing, marking and drawing. The barrel is coated with green water-based varnish and its lead is break-resistant thanks to a special bonding process. Wood from certified sustainable forest management (by FSC, PEFC, SFI, etc.).
Faber-Castell was the first manufacturer to introduce ecological water-based varnishing technology, used on almost all the writing instruments produced at its main factory in Stein. The CO2 emissions arising from making the product are offset through certified projects.
