Xerox® Everyday drums and toner cartridges that contain electrical and electronic components are subject to the European directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS) and the corresponding CE and RoHS marking requirements. These cartridges also comply with the RoHS-equivalent regulations in Ukraine and are labelled accordingly.
WEEE:
Xerox® Everyday drums and toner cartridges that contain electrical and electronic components are subject to the European directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and are marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol to tell the end user that the cartridge must be recycled separately from other household waste.

STMC
The STMC (Standardized Test Methods Committee) is an international committee created to find and promote standardised test methods for the printer cartridge industry. The test methods are used to evaluate the performance of toner cartridges. When standardised test methods are used, a cartridge can be evaluated anywhere and give the same results regardless of who performs the test.
The STMC uses some ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) test methods, such as ASTM F1856 for yield and ASTM F 2036 for image density and background. The test methods are only used to compare one finished cartridge with another, usually from an original equipment manufacturer. They do not measure components.
