TP-Link TL-WN722N 150Mbps Wireless USB Adapter

TP-Link's TL-WN722N wireless N USB adapter lets you connect your desktop or laptop computer to a wireless network and access it at high speed. Compliant with the IEEE 802.11n standard, it offers a wireless speed of up to 150 Mbps, perfect for online gaming or streaming video. It also lets you encrypt the wireless network with the simple press of the QSS (Quick Setup Security) button, protecting against external threats.
The TL-WN722N features IEEE 802.11n technology. This lets you minimize signal loss caused by obstacles in offices or apartments, even with steel and concrete structures and over long distances. Unlike previous 54 Mbps devices, the TL-WN722N delivers better performance, improving your internet browsing experience as well as file sharing and video streaming.
The Clear Channel Assessment (CCA) feature automatically avoids channel conflicts by using the optimal channel selection function, while maximizing the benefits of channel bonding for greater wireless performance.
The TL-WN722N has a high-gain 4 dBi external antenna that can be rotated and positioned in different directions depending on the environment, outperforming internal antennas. If you need greater performance, you can replace the antenna with other models for greater flexibility and wider coverage.
The TL-WN722N is compatible with the Wi-Fi Protected Setup(tm) (WPS) function, which lets users configure network security just by pressing the router's WPS button to automatically establish a secure WPA2 connection, a noticeably more secure mode than that offered by WEP encryption. This method is not only faster and more secure than typical security configurations, but also more convenient, since users don't have to memorize any password.
Regarding Wi-Fi connection security, it's a fact that WEP encryption is no longer the most robust, secure option for protecting against external threats. The TL-WN722N uses WPA/WPA2 encryption methods created by the Wi-Fi Alliance, which promote interoperability and security in wireless networks.
