TP-Link TL-WR841N Router Wireless N a 300Mbps

-What this product is for:
The TL-WR841N is a device that integrates a 4-port switch and a router to share your internet connection. Thanks to its MIMO 2T2R technology, the TL-WR841N offers exceptional, advanced performance that makes it the ideal device for HD video streaming, VoIP calls and online gaming. In addition to its sleek, elegant design, it features a WPS button for quick security setup and is compatible with the WPA2 encryption standard, designed to protect the network from external attacks.
-Wireless N Technology: speed and coverage:
The TL-WR841N complies with the IEEE 802.11n standard, letting it establish wireless connections up to 15 times faster and with up to 5 times greater coverage than conventional 11g products. It also reaches wireless speeds of up to 300 Mbps
This technology minimizes signal loss caused by obstacles in large offices or apartments, even steel and concrete structures. As a result, it's able to easily pick up a wireless signal broadcast over a long distance, unlike using a previous-generation 11g device. This also means the router offers enough speed to smoothly and reliably support almost any bandwidth-intensive application, such as VoIP calls, HD video streaming or online gaming.
-WEP and WPA2 Encryption Modes: advanced security:
Regarding Wi-Fi connection security, it's a fact that WEP encryption is no longer the most robust, secure option for protecting against external threats. The TL-WR841N uses WPA/WPA2 encryption methods (both personal and enterprise versions) designed by the Wi-Fi Alliance, which promote interoperability and security in wireless networks.
-QSS Button: quick security setup:
Compatible with Wi-Fi Protected Setup(tm) (WPS), the TL-WR841N features Quick Security Setup that lets users almost instantly set up their security simply by pressing the QSS button, automatically establishing a secure WPA2 connection, which is more secure compared with WEP encryption. This method is not only faster and more secure than typical security configurations, but also more convenient, since users don't have to memorize any password.
-IP QoS: rational bandwidth management:
On a wireless network, indiscriminate internet browsing or large file downloads by users frequently cause homes or small offices to not have enough bandwidth for important tasks. Through the TL-WR841N's IP QoS function, it's possible to optimize bandwidth usage and manage bandwidth to prevent congestion, thus preventing connection abuse. This way, network users are assigned a set amount of bandwidth to prevent non-critical applications from degrading network performance.
-Simple setup:
In addition to the Range Extender setup button, the device includes a CD containing the Easy Setup Assistant application. This assistant guides you step by step through setup and even helps you select parameters related to the wireless network and its security, which is especially useful for beginner users.
