TP-Link TL-WN821N 300Mbps Wireless N USB Adapter

What this product is for:
TP-Link's TL-WN821N wireless N USB adapter lets you connect your desktop or laptop computer to a wireless network and access it at high speed. Compliant with the IEEE 802.11n standard, it offers a wireless speed of up to 300 Mbps, perfect for online gaming or video streaming.
Wireless N Technology: speed and coverage:
The TL-WN821N features MIMO (Multiple Input, Multiple Output) technology. This lets you minimize signal loss caused by obstacles in large offices or apartments, even steel and concrete structures. As a result, it's able to easily pick up a wireless signal broadcast over a long distance, unlike using a previous-generation 11g device.
CCA Technology: stable wireless signals:
The Clear Channel Assessment (CCA) feature automatically avoids channel conflicts by using the optimal channel selection function, while maximizing the benefits of channel bonding for greater wireless performance.
WEP and WPA2 Encryption Modes: advanced security:
Regarding Wi-Fi connection security, it's a fact that WEP encryption is no longer the most robust, secure option for protecting against external threats. The TL-WN821N uses WPA/WPA2 encryption methods created by the Wi-Fi Alliance that promote interoperability and security in wireless networks and protect them effectively and efficiently.
Security setup with a simple button:
The TL-WN821N is compatible with the Wi-Fi Protected Setup(tm) (WPS) function, which lets users configure network security just by pressing the router's QSS (Quick Security Setup) button to automatically establish a secure WPA2 connection, a noticeably more secure mode than that offered by WEP encryption. This method is not only faster and more secure than typical security configurations, but also more convenient, since users don't have to memorize any password.
Includes a utility CD for easy installation:
The TL-WN821N includes a utility CD that helps you install the software and configure network settings, including those related to security and the wireless connection. Thanks to it, setup is very simple, even for less experienced users.
